Services - DNA Sequencing
We offer HIGH QUALITY and FAST TURNAROUND fully automated DNA sequencing supported by a completely electronic Data Management System. Researchers provide us with the template DNA (eg. plasmid PCR products, etc.) prepared according to one of the general procedures listed in the FAQ section. It is important to follow the tested recommended procedures since template purity and quantity used for automated sequencing are more stringent than for manual sequencing protocols. Kit methods are preferred. Users provide us with template DNA (plasmid, PCR product, lambda, BAC, etc.) and either your own sequencing primer or use our standard universal primers at no extra charge.
We require the customers to supply us with at least 8uL of template and 5uL of primer per reaction.
Individual Sample Sequencing
Low volume DNA sequencing is run through a Applied Biosystems 3730 DNA Analyzer with a capacity of 600 samples a day. The user can expect up to 600 bases of reliable sequence read.
High Volume Sequencing
For high volume sequencing, we offer high throughput via our Applied Biosystems 3730XL DNA Analyzer in 96-well format. The 96- capillary instrument reduces the time, cost, and complexity of large-scale sequencing projects with an increase in read length and improved reliability. We consistently produce over 800 base pairs of high quality Phred scores and an average of 95% success (500+bp) on control samples.
