Services - Independent Research Program

This program is currently suspended for 2006 during the GATC transition. Please visit ContactEDU for other options. Thank You. Updated 06Jan2006.

Investigators interested in pursuing their own projects in the GATC can obtain bench space and access to instrumentation for varying periods of time. These services are especially useful for investigators interested in exploring new techniques, and obtaining pilot data sets for external funding proposals.

We will provide you with equipment and common laboratory reagents (obtained through our shared purchase program) to help you cut down on research cost. The users pay the same low fee as those who are in the Training Program.

Please take note that our facility is not certified for conducting research with pathogenic organisms.

Space is limited and priority is given to investigators at the University of Arizona. However, we will accommodate you the best we can. Please see the Biotechnology Education & Training Program Section for additional information. If you are interested in conducting research in the GATC, please contact Al Agellon for an initial consultation.
