Services - Independent Research Program

Investigators interested in pursuing their own projects in the GATC can obtain bench space and access to instrumentation for varying periods of time. These services are especially useful for investigators interested in exploring new techniques, and obtaining pilot data sets for external funding proposals.
We will provide you with equipment and common laboratory reagents (obtained through our shared purchase program) to help you cut down on research cost. The users pay the same low fee as those who are in the Training Program.

* Applies only to undergraduate students and graduate students not working full-time
Requirements
- Must obtain a CAT Card.
- Complete the Department of Risk Management's Lab Safety Certification.
- Complete the Department of Risk Management's Bloodborne Pathogens Certification if working with human or primate tissues.
Please take note that our facility is not certified for conducting research with pathogenic organisms.
