Facility Overview
The GATC is a core facility providing a wide range of molecular biology services and instruction in current molecular genetic methods. Fee per use services such as SNP Analysis, DNA Sequencing, Microsatellite DNA Typing and a host of other genomic services are available at a low cost to the entire research community. The GATC in collaboration with the BCF provide analytical support for all services.
Individuals who are interested in pursuing a project in the GATC can obtain their own bench space and have access to instrumentation for varying periods of time. Our staff is available for one-on-one training and advising. This service is especially useful for investigators interested in exploring new techniques, and obtaining pilot data sets for external funding proposals. The GATC research laboratory is located in Biological Sciences West and the service facilities in Life Sciences South buildings.
